Tlie Chamber of Commerce to-night adopted a resolution strongly protesting ngainst the. failure of the Government to include the extension of the Nelson end of the Midland Railway in the Railways Authorisation Bill, and decided to urge the local members to make strenuous efforts to secure the inclusion of this line, as had been repeatedly promised by the Government., Dunedin, Tuesday. The Otago Central Railway League passed a resolution protesting against the treatment the line was receiving at the hands of the Government, and regretting the apathy of district members regarding its prosecution,
