PARLIAMENT.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER l'J. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. 111 the Council, which met at 2.30 p.m., the following Bills were put through their second readings and committee stages:— Maniototo Hospital and Charitable Aid Hill, Waipawa County Bill, Auckland Jlarbor .hoard and Birkenhead Borough Empowering Bill, llutt Park Bill, Iluncdin District Drainage and Sewerage Bill, Makara County Bill, (ireymouth Jlarbor Board Loan Bill, Wairau Harbor Bill, Cisborne Harbor Board Enabling Bill, Public Service Superannuation Bill, Stock Act Amendment Bill, and Packet License Bill were read a first time. The Council rose at 5.5 p.m.

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. In the House, the Water-supply Act! Amendment Bill, Reserves ami Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Bill 1907 were read a first time. The amendments made by the Council to the, Public Service Classification Bill, Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act Amendment Bill, and Co-operative Dairy Companies Bill were agreed to, and the House adjourned at 5.30 p.m. On resuming at 7.30 p.m., the debate on the second reading of the Native Land Bill, which was moved by the Hon. Mr. Carroll, was continued, and was proceeding at midnight.
