MOA ROAD BOARD.
The Moa Boad Board met on Saturday. Present: .Messrs 11. Trimble (chairman), Lawrence, Marsh, Chard, and Capper. FORKMFA'S REPORTS. .Foreman Jones submitted a report upon the application of Mr Moreen for repairs to a bridge on Bedford road south of tile Norfolk road.—To stand over for the time being. Foreman West reported that eight chains of Kaimata road south needed widening and forming, and other parts needed repairing. liohite and Kupara roads were in need of attention .
Foreman Iloskin rcportd that Hursthouse road needed watertabling; Everett road some widening, and Dudley road west some drain work, besides general repairing work such as raking in loose stones, etc.
Foreman 11. Jones reported that two sets of 12-inch pipes were required on Durham road east. A culvert between Messrs Brown's anil Drake's needed repairing. On the Durham road a good deal of repairing work had been effected, sixteen of the settlers with four drays assisting. Ditching and general repairs had been done on Surrey road, and the contractor had started breaking stone on Norfolk road west. BEDFOK DROAD.
Messrs Sehroeder and Myer formed a deputation to the Board in connection with the Bedford road west bridge, and the Board decided to put in a tunnel upon the settlors agreeing to do the nccessarv eavthvrork. TENDERS.
Tenders wi>rc accepted as follows: Norfolk road east, (10 yards boulders, W. R. Richardson. 2s 0d a yard; Uplind raod south, 50 yards broken stone, Swann and Jrnncs. 7s 3d a yard: Egmont rond south, 50 yards boulders, E. Jordan, 3s 2d a yard;' Windsor road, 30 yards boulders. Swann and .Tames, 3s 3d a yard; Durham road east, 40 yards metal. Rwann and 'James, 7s a yard; Norfolk road west, 150 yards boulders, W..G. "Richardson, 2s fii/M a yard; Suffolk road, GO yards boulders, W. 6. Richardson, 2s 9d a yard; Kahnata road north, 100 yards metal, Swann and .Tames. Ss a yard; Rugby road, 80 yards boulders, W. G. Richardson, 2s 10d a yard: Surrey road) 10 yards boulders, W. d. "Richardson, 2s 10d a yard; Ross road, 40 yards boulders, Al. E. Cowley, broken metal, 8s a yard; Bristol road west, 30 yards metal, C. D. Stewartj, 5s Oj a yard, , GENERAL. The clerk was instructed to write to the Council mid inquire why repairs hud not been effected at the junction of the TCaimata and Tariki roads, this Hoard having agreed to contribute to the cost. The Treasury notified that the result of the poll for a loan of £3OOO for the purpose of improving the Lincoln, Richmond, Wortlcy. "Davis and York roads had been gazetted.
