PLEA FOR REDUCING ARMY AND NAVY EXPENDITURE. ' Received Nov. 17, 4.9 p.m. London, November 16. One hundred and thirty-six members of the House of Commons petitioned Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman to bring about a material reduction in the Army and Navy estimates, in view of the peaceful situation resulting from Britajn'* -tiktions with France ..and BaasTa and her improved relations with Germany.
