FEDERAL MAILS CONTRACT.
I AN UP-TO-DATE SERVICE. 4 Received Nov. 10, 1.28 a.m. Melbourne, November 15. The mail contract has been signed by the Orient Voy. It is for ten years, the 1 subsidy being £17,000 per annum. Under the contract, five new steamers, of j not less than 11,000 tons, are to be , built, with a speed of 17 knots.
