DAIRY MARKET REPORT. Messrs E. Griffiths and Co.. dairy produce exporters, New Plymouth, arc in receipt of the following market report from their London principal-, Messrs Mills and Sparrow:— Butter.—We are pleased to report a good general demand and a strong market all round. The reported dry weather in Australia coming at a time when we were having a dry period in France, has had the effect of making buyers more eager and has put more life into the trade as a whole. Danish: Everything dealing at slight-ly-improved prices. Denmark is also one kroner up. Irish: Xo alteration in the position; quantity arriving in not sufficient to till orders. French: This week's prices show about 4s advance over last quotations, and orders are keeping up, but the quantity coming into the various markets is nothing like so heavy a<3 shippers would like. Siberian: Although there as a fair quantity offering, quality is poor in flavor.

Aiistrili.in: Buyer- are enquiring and waiting for any lot-; of fre-dily-made new season's butter, and the-e as they come along will all be badly wanted, and will, we are certain, realise good prices. Several holders are now marketing their stock, and much better prices are being made than was at one time anticipated. It ean now be accepted as an absolute fact that practically no finest butters are held in store by the trade for the autumn demand, so that buyers must come on to colonial. New Zealand: The same remarks apply to New Zealand as to Australia. The prices of the few in store are hardening, hiit the quality is not just good enough. The cry at the moment is for something perfect in flavor. Cheese.—A 'hand-to-mouth" business passing, but no decent lines changing hands.
