WAREA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Jlr. J. Burgess, who has been away to the Auckland district on business in connection with the Eltham Butter-box Company, returned home last week. .Mr. T. .Julian's gang of men which has been working on the Carringtonroart shifted to the Mountain reserve on .Monday. They will be there for a good part' of the summer, clearing the tracks leading to the mountain. The combined churn and butter-worker | arrived at the factory last week. A meeting of the Horticultural Society was held in the hall on Thursday evening. A good number of members were present. Mr. -J. Burgess was in the chair. After a long discussion it was decided to hold a social 011 the 20th inst. During the evening the annual meeting will be held. The following ladies' committee was formed: Mesdames T. Julian, S. Sefton, Larking, Clarke, Millar, Corliett, and Miss F. Corbett. Mr. Pateixm will be engaged to supply the music.
