AUCKLAND R.C. MEETING. Per Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland Racing Club's Spring Meeting was continued to-day in fine »c.ither, and in the presence of a large 1 gathering. A somewhat dramatic incident occurred at the dose of the Une- > hunga Steeplechase. This event, after I a game struggle, jgis won by the aged | Nor'-West, and the victory proved a , popular one. Horse and rider received j a great ovation on returning to the scales. Before lie reached the enclosure, 1 however, Nor'-West dropped dead.
