THE HALF-HOLIDAY QUESTION.
Per Press Association. - Invercargill, Last Night, ahe Employers' Association and Wednesday Half-holiday Association to-night advised the advisory board of the Employers' Federation and the local members of the Legislative Council to strenuously resist the addition of the Hon. Mr. Millar's new subclause to the Factories Act Amendment Bill regarding the half-holiday where a factory and shop are combined. The Employers' Association also telegraphed to the Minister asking him to delete the clause. Feeling is very strong here, as the Bill was considered otherwise satisfactory.
