THE HOLIDAY QUESTION.
Per PrtßS Association. Wellington, Last Night. A subcommittee of the Wellington Industrial Association appointed to consider the question of holidays reported to the association to-night recommending that all present holidays be deleted except Uood Friday and Easter Monday, and that the Government be asked to make statutory holidays in all Arbitration Court awards from Christmas Eve till 2nd January, exemption to be granted to trades dealing in perishable goods; and that the Employers' Association, C-hamber of Commerce, and Trades and Labor Councils be asked for expressions of opinion on the matter. After some discussion further consideration of the question was deferred.
