MOXDAT, NOVEMBER 11. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Council met at 7.30 p.m. The Land Laws Amendment Bill was read a third time and passed. The Factories Act Amendment Bill and the Flour Duty Bill, from the House, were read a first time. The following Bills were put through their final stages and passed: Agricultural Lnborel'3' Accommodation Bill, Go- j vernment Advances to Settlers Bill, Agricultural Implement Manufacture Importation and Sales Bill, Taumarunui Town Council Election Validation Bill, Town Districts Bill, and the Statute:! Repeal Bill. The Cul Mines Act Amendment Bill was read a second time. . The Attorney-General moved the second reading of the Sea Fisheries Bill. The debate was adjourned, and the Council rose at 9.45.

HOUSE OP REPRESENTATIVES. In the House, the Railways Improvement Authorisation Act Amendment Bill was introduced by Governor's message and read a first time. The Fisheries Conservation Act Amendment Bill, Mining Aet Amendment Bill, and Barmaids Abolition Bill were read a first time. Mr. Massey opened a debate on the motion to go into Supply on the Estimates. The debate was proceeding when the telegraph office closed at midniglit. _________
