OMATA DAIRY COMPANY.

The annual meeting of shareholders in tho Omata Dairy Co. was held 011 Monday«evcning, .Mr I'. Madden presiding. The following report was submitted to the directors: —lhe balance remaining to the credit of profit and loss account, after providing for adequate depreciation on the factory and creamery buildings, with interest at 5 per cent on paid-up shares, is £303 14s 7d, out of which your directors recommend the payment of %d per lb for butter-fat supplied during the year, £332 IDs 2d, anj leaving a balance of £3O 15s 5d to be carried forward. During the' year 440 new shares had been allotted, chic(!v to Ivoru creamery suppliers. Following the practice of the past few years, your directors have sold the output of the coining season at the highest price they could obtain- The supply, both at th» factory and the creamery, opened well, hut tlie late unseasonable weather has materially affected it during the past few weeks, but your directors hope that an improvement in this respect will soon take place, and if this is so they arc of opinion that tho amount of butter made will be a material increase on that of the past year.

In moving the adoption of the report, Mr Madden announced the sale of this so ison's output at 10'/,d from September to April, inclusive. He advised suppliers to <;o in for growing winter feed, and recommended maize for autumn and v»ot crops for winter.

The report was adopted. Messrs Jury and Hamblyn, the retirIngdireetors, were re-elected.
