TV United Kingdom now accepts from New Zealand parcels insured from £6O to £4OO. The rate chargeable is Is 6d for £6O, and 3d for each £l2 np to £396, and 8s 9d for £4OO.
KINGS BIRTHDAY HOLIDAY. Monday, the 11th November, will be observed as a Post and Telegraph holida;,, instead of Saturday, the 9th, and the following hours will be observed: — Postal branch—Mails for Wellington and South will close at 6.15 ajn.; all other mails will close at 7.15 ajn., after which time the Post Office win be closed in all its branches. Tha railway travelling post office wffl run as usual. The private Tx« lobby wfll bo open as usual. The telegraph branch will be opsn from O a.m to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight. The telephone exchange will be open as usual. A special delivery of correspondence will be mud* over the public counter, between the hours of 8.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. on Saturday, the 9th. W. J.
