NEWTON KING'S WEEKLY AUCTION REPORT. > A large number of pigs came forward at tho Haymarket last Saturday, and sold readily, slips making 5s to 12s, small stores lOs to 20s, porkers 235. Several horses changed hands at from £2 las to £7 12s(id. The thoroughbred made Lady Sylvia realised £25. At the mart the poultry pens were well filled with a splendid lot of fowls. Prices were as follows:—Cockerels 2s to 2s 4d, pullets 2s Id to 2s lid; hens 2s Id to 3s Od, old fowls Is lOd to 2s, chicks lid, ducklings Is 3d, ducks 2s Id to 2s sd, guinea fowls os Od to 0s Od per pair. A quantity of sundries made ordinary rates.

On Tuesday I held a clearing sale of furniture on account of Mr. P. Mitchell, when there was a fair attendance and satisfactory prices were realised.

At W aiwakaiho on Tuesday there was good bidding for all classes of stock, springing heifers especially showing a sharp advance on late rates, and nearly every tiling was sold at the hammer. Calves made 14s, mixed yearlings 20s to 335, steer do 44s to 48s, heifer do 25s to 30s, 18 to 20-months do 35s to 40s, springers £3 10s to £5 7s Gd, store' cows 41s to 50s, old do las to 20s, springing cows £4 to £5 15s. °

At Raliotu on Thursday nearly everything was quitted either at the hammer or privately. Yearling heifers made 29s to 30s, steers 43s Gd, springing heifers £.l 10s to £5 15s, store cows £2 5s to £2 10s, bulls £2 17s Gd to £0 10s, store pigs lis.

WILSON AND NOLAN'S REPORT. Mcsrs Wilson and Nolan report for the week ending November 2:— Poultry—We penned a slightly larger lot than has been usual lately. We quote: Roosters 2s to 2s 3d, cockerels Is lOd to 2s sd, hens Is 10d to 2s Od, hen and chicks os, hen and ducklings 10s, chicks 4d to Od, brown Leghorn hens 4s oil to os. °

We sold a good catalogue of sundries and furniture at prices perhaps in favor of buyers. We held a sale on account of Mr Chas. Tait,- which was well attended, and cleared everything at very satisfactory prices.

We cleared a shipment of bananas at prircs ranging from Us to 9s (according to condition j.

WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Webster Bros, report poultry in good demand and prices for table and young birds good. Prices as under: Hens Is lid to 2s, pullets 2s 2d to 2s Bd, ducks 2s to 2s sil, chicks 4d to 9d.

On Wednesday we sold Mr. 11. N. Bates' household furniture and effects to advantage to all parties. The lines were good and found a ready sale. Oniata Yards.—We held our usual fortnightly sale yesterday, when we had a large entry, and nearly every line passed oil at satisfactory and increased prices. Store cows were in keen demand and sold at considerable advance on last sale. Prices as under:—Mixed yearlings 32s Txl to 44s (id, yearling heifers 2fe to 295, yearling steers £2 Is Gd to ,£2 7s, empty heifers £2 0s to £2 12s, store cows £2 2s to £3 8s Cd, old cows 15s to 255, stags £3 13s fid, bulls £2.18s to £4, forward cows £3 10s Gd, fat do £5 12s, pair bullocks £24, spring heifers £3 7s Gd to £5. VICKERS AND STEVENS' REPORT. Vickers and Stevens report that there was a very large entry of cattle in then; Ingle wood yards oil Wednesday. Bidding was good, and most lots changed hands. Alixed yearlings made from £1 3s to £1 7s, empty heifers £1 10s to £2 3s fid, a nice lot of yearling steers C2 13s ftl, store cows £1 5s 1 u £3 young and backward springers £2 5s to' £3 10s, good springers £4 to £5 10s, fat cows £5 7s to £0 os, bulls £2 5s to £4 11a.
