DBDEBS FOE HUGE BATTLESHIPS. London, October 31. The Admiralty has invited private tenders for the building of a battleship, also for the propelling machinery for two battleships the building of which is shortly to be begun at Portsmouth and DeronporL The engines will be turbines. The vessels are to have a speed of 21 knots. As was stated in a cable on 17th September, the building of a fifth battleship of the Dreadnought type is to begin immediately, but it is now stated that the 13J> inch-guns with which it was said the new battleship was to be equipped in destined for two 21,000-ton battleshipa now being built at the ElswickBarro* yards for the Brazilian Nary.
