A dispute involving over £50,000 ; s being considered by the Government i i connection with Tatter.-ull's sweeps In October, I!W4, the Lottery Act was parsed providing for the payment of a twopenny stamp tax on all 5s lottery tickets or fraction of ss. The tax was passed on to the purchaser, and the tickets had a face value of 5s 2 printed oil them. The Crown law officers express the opinion that the twopence was a fraction of os, and that the tax should be fourpence.
