ASSESSMENT COURT. Per Press Association. Gisborne, Last Night. The Compensation Court continued today the hearing of the claim of the Hon. Johnston for compensation for th' .faking by the \iovernment of the Te .Ami estate. The day was taken up by witnesses for Mr. Johnston. Cienerally, they iscfilwd the land as having a good aspect, none or little being cold or wet, and said the flats would lie in great demand as fattening or top-ping-off farms. One witness said there no ftatiort in Poverty Bay he could i-ompare with the property, as no other lud three thousand acres of flats.
