He declared he retired from the Cominandantship at Berlin with honor. Herr Harden, in a two hours' siieech made a remarkable political and moral indictment of the Eulcnbutw ''clique " He emphasised that the Crown Prince told the Kaiser one day about current reports, and Count Moltke resigned neve day. Herr Harden declared that four Chancellors had failed to eliminate the Eulenburg influence. Herr Harden stated tb.it Lecomte counsellor to the French Embassy, who was one o.f Eulenburg's clique, tried to arrange/a meeting between the Kaiser and the French President, on the pretext that a reconciliation was possible. The Kaiser spent an hour or two at Liedenlierg Castle talking to Eulenbur-' and Leeomte. Through a friend, Prince Eulenhurg asserted they only talked of art and French literature.
