In the Queensland Assembly the leader of the Opposition strongly protested against members of the Governjneat taking Hansard reporters with them on tour. The Minister, in reply, complained of systematic misrepresentation by newsJfr. Kidston, the Premier, stated that the Med for reliable reporting was beteming very urgent. They should have attornment newspaper. He had been *wy_ seriously considering the matter, n4it was quite possible he would ask Parliament to approve of the establishJMBt of a daily paper. Amidst dissent, laughter, and interfnptions, Mr. Kidston went on to say the paper's functions would be to report lews. It would publish opinions onhr U signed articles. Party preferences Would be absolutely excluded from it.
