Although warm summer weather is being experienced, to-day's temperature in tiie shade being 70 degrees, eight degrees of frost were registered this morning. Day, S.M, William Whitta, charged with trespassing on the Ashburton racecourse on 11th September was convicted and fined £lO and costs.
