ACCLIMATISATION MATTERS.

Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Hon. J. A. Millar has promised to accede to the request of the last Acclimatisation Societies Conference that attention be given to the' introduction of the Atlantic variety, of salmon. A vote of a few hundred pounds will probably be set down for this purpose on the supplementary estimates. The Government has decided that the host watershed for the introduction of the j Atlantic salmon is that of the Wniau river in Southland.
