CORRESPONDENCE.

HOME INDUSTRIES. To the Editor. Sir,—ln a recent issue you remarked upon the Agricullural homo industries section, and said "the Si e'ety is making a bigger bid for en inc.," in cookery exhibits. 1 went and obtained a schedule. I failed to so j any very big bid for entries. There are two ciisses for home-made bread, and -one of these is confine,] to users of a spcial brand of flour. Then follow scone-i, jam rolls, jam tarts, sausage rolls, and sweets, or six classes in all, subdividd into adult ami juvenile sections. The Society ought to have had a look at the Horticultural Society's preserves and cookery schedule. There I have a chance to compete in thirty-seven classes, exclusive of children's classes. I believe that if agricultural people catered more for us, more women would enter cakes and other tilings at the show, for their prizes are bigger than the town society offers.—l am, etc., HOME COOK.
