PROVINCIAL NEWS.
WAItEA. (From Our Own Correspondent). A meeting of the Rifle Club was held 0)1 Wednesday evening last. There was a good attendance of members. Mr. W. 13. Clarke presided. The only business done was to make arrangements iu connection with ammunition, a supply of which has come to hand. Mi 11. Corbett is the successful tenderer for carting the broken stone out on the road between Punilio and Oaomii. An improvement has been made to tiie library lately by Mr H. Pelham, who lias built a new cupboard, and pulled down the old one. The new cupboard will hold some (100 books or more, and will be more convenient, as if is higher and wider, and has sliding doors, instead of opening out,tints providing more room in the hall.
Mi 8. iScftoii lias returned home and resumed work. Ifr rhompson, dairy instructor, lias lieeu at tlic local Inctory for several days, Mr Good lias Ijeen visiting this district.
