ATTITUDE ON CURRENT QUES- 'j» TIONS. . H \L, Wellington, Last Night. 's& The eolonial executive of the Farmers' -S Union resolved to-day that where Harbor Boards have executive powers they should be solely elected by the rate- '* payers, aud Boards without rating ■■ power should be composed of nominees from all the leading local bodies in the district. It was also resolved that this executive make a further protest against ■< the Government Endowment Bill now before the House, and further affirms the opinion that the present system whereby the revenue derived from the sale ol Crown lands is paid into the Consolidated Fund (and is therefore available) is the most economical and satisfactory method of providing for their services.
