AN AMALGAMATION.
MUTUAL LIFE AND CITIZENS' LIFE. Received Oct. 21, y.58 p.m. Sydney, October 21. A ?|ieiial general meeting of members of the Mutual Life Association confirmed the resolution adopted at the meeting of 18th September in favor of amalgamating with the Citizens' Life. The chairman. Sir Norman MaeLauriu. referred to attempts made to stir up opposition by the baseless assertion that the association was winding-up. H t . had no hesitation in saying that no arrangement could have been made with anyother office in Australasia which would have afforded meinliers advantages equal to those which this agreement secured.
