THE EXHIBITION LITERARY COMPETITION.
[ Per Press Assoeiatiou. Ckristchurch, Last Ni"ht. The deadlock between the Honfc Industries Committee of the Exhibition and the office authorities regarding the literary competitions has come to an end. The committee had been informed that it could not have the book containing the cyphers that would enable it to ascertain the prize-winners in the competition in accordance with the judge's awards. This morning, however, Mr. W. Minson, chairman of the committed received advice from tho Minister in charge that all the books necessary should be handed to the committea. This has been done, and the committee, which will meet to-morrow mornin", will probably announce the result immediately.
