Sheepskins—Market firm. Rest butchers' skins, large to 7.s (id, good lines 0s tid to Os 9d, medium 5s 3d to 5s 9d, small 4s to 4s Gd. Tallow —Maret firm. Best mixed, up to 28s, good 20s to 27s M, inferior 22s Gd to 24s Od. rough fat l%d per lb. ADDINCTOX STOCK MARKET. C'hristchuvch. October 10. At the Addington yards to-day there was a moderate entry of stock. Fat cattle were easier. Fat lambs were lower in price on account of greater numbers, and fat .sheep were firmer on account 01 a smaller yarding. Store sheep were rather dull of sale. Pigs ofall classes were again in keen demand. There was a dull sale of store and dairy cattle. Sheep—A line of 271 wethers made IDs !)d, and hoggets sold as follows 374 at 17s Od (a good line), 75 at 10s 10d, 328 at 15s '.) d. 122 at 15s sd. 52 at 15s Oil, 37 at 13s lOd, and 33 at 13s Bd. A feulots of inferior ewes and lambs sold at 7s 3d to 8s 3d. all counted.

Fat lambs—Prices ranged from 15s to 21s. Several lots were passed. Fat sheep—Prime wethers 25s to 3b Od, others 20s Od to 24s Od, prime ewts ■l>* Od to 20* 3d, others IDs Id to prime merino wethers 18s !>d to 21s lUd. Fat cattle —Steers brought ,C 7 12s 01 to ;Cl2 10s. extra to £l4 ss, heifers £5 10s to £1) Ills, cows £5 15s to £lO 17s Od —equal to 32s Od for extiv. prime, 27s Od to 30s for prime, and 22s to 20s for medium, per 1001b. A large yarding of veal calves made 5s to 455, according to feize and quality.

Store and dairy cattle—.Small yearlings made 10a, 15 to 18 months 27s to 335, -year heifers £2 2s to £2 Bs, 4 to 5yeau steers £7, dairy cows 15s to .CI 7s Od. The dairy cows were aged and medium sort?;, and were dull of sale at £3 Jo £7 10s. Pigs—Heavyweight baconers made '£4 to £4 10s, lighter 50s to 00s (equal to to sVod per lb) heavyweight porkers 40s to 4Go, and lighter 35s to 38s (equal to Od per lb), large stores 35s to 38s, medium 25s to 30s, weaners 10s tid for small, up to 18s Oil. DUNEDIN STUCK MAUKET. Duncdin, October 10. At tlie Uurnside stock market to-day 284 sheep were penned. .Medium wethers 24s to 255, extra to 2'.)s, medium to good 31s Od to 22s Od, inferior ltfs to 20s. bo 4 ewes 20s to 22s Od, medium 17s to ISs, inferior 15s to 10s. Lambs—lo penned, the majority selling up to 22s Od, while several small lambs sold at 13s. Cattle—234 yarded, principally unfinished .sort*. Prices were easier than last week. Prime bulloks were, however, a shade tinner. Best bullocks .CM to £ll sk, extra to £l2 17» od, medium £!) 10s to £lO 10s, best cows and heifers £8 10s tu £0 10s, extra to £ll 10s. Pigs—About 100 yarded, principally porkers and baconers. For small pigs prices were slightly easier; large pigs sold lirmly at last week's values. Suckeis 13sc 0d 10s. slips 17s Od to IDs, stores 22s to 2-Ss, porkers 35s to 435, light baconers 48s to 535, heavy baconers 57s to Oos. YOCXO, IIOI3BS & CIVS KEPOKT. On Tuesday, 15th October, we held our usual four-weekly hide, skin, and wool sale, and were favored with increased consignment- in all department except, wool, We catalogued 2UH hides. 300 sheepskin-*, and nearly 2000 callskins, all of which met with keen competition. Ordinary to light hides were about par with last sale, while heavy hides of the be-l quality were '/id io %d ]H i r lb higher. Calfskins were Id per lb better all round, while taliow and wool ranged on a par with recent siles. We would impre-s upon farmers the neces-ity of keeping the calfskins clean and well salted immediately after being takeu oil". Although more care i> being taken uow than formerly, still ve only handled one line that was perfect. We quote:—Wool.
