Napier, Last Night. The Hawke'a Bay Agricultural and pastoral Society's annual spring show ppened at Hastings to-day 'iiie weather was showery, but, notwithstnding this, there was a large attendance. The (how was quite equal in point of quality to the best of former years , though there was a slight falling off in entries. The Ehorthorn cattle classes conta lied fiomo remarkably fine animals, as >bl j the draught horse classes, nad Lincoln, I Romncv, and Southdown sheep clas-es. Backs and harness horses were very good. The following championsh'ps were Awarded : Thoroughbred sire. T. 11. Jjowry's Royal Fusilier; draTlTght entire, F. A. Bremer's Lord T'r-kino: Brought mare, J. W. Hurling'- Queen Jkgg; Shorthorn bull, manager Mount Herbert estate, Duke of Beaufort: Lincoln ram and ewe, Hon. J. D. Ormond; Booth-down mm and ewe, Nelson Bros.; Border Leicester ram, Nelson Bros.; English Leicester ewe, Douglas MeLean; Berkshire boar and sow, E. White: Yorkshire sow, E, White; Tamworth Sow, E. White.
