Christehurch, Last Night, i At to-day's meeting of the executive of the North ('.'utprbury Farmers 1 Union there was a lengthy discussion on the Government's proposal to lake off the duty on wheat as soon as (lour reached £ll per ton. It was decided to ask the Premier to forward as early as pos-1 sible copies of the proposed legislation dealing with the duties on imported flour and .wheat, and the following motion was carried:—"That this meeting urge upon the Premier the inadvisability of interfering with the wheat and flour duties."
