Per Press Association. . Eketahuna, Last Night. • At an inquest touching the death of a child aged ihree months which was accidentally suffocated while in its parents' bed, Mr. W. P. James, S.M. Coroner, said this was the third or fourth case in the district during the last three months under similar, tareumstances. He considered that lwjislation should be introduced tie same as in England to make it an offence for •irents to allow infants to sleep in the same bed wuh them. Such culpable ncjjon part should be coped with. Dr. Chadmck's evidence waß to • the effect that the practice was uq ; healthy and dangerous, and suffocation was liable. A verdict of Accidental dealth due to suffocation was returned.
