WORTHLESS BANKNOTES.
Per Press Association. Taihape, Tuesday. James Arnott, with several aliases was before the Court to-day charged will lmving stolen, six £1 notes, the property of the Bank of Australasia, from the Turakina at Wellington on 9th October, Accused said lie had bought one note from a man at Wellington, who afterwards gave him others. He was also charged with having obtained 18s from William Harvey, of Taihape, by means of a cancelled note. Accused was remanded.
