ATTEMPTED TRAIN-WRECKING.
Per Press Association. Timaru, Saturday Night. Two offences were committed on the 'ailway near Timaru on Friday night. I'he first train north ran into a 541b ail which had been laid across the track ii a curve in a cutting a mile and a-half mt of town, the emergency brake was pplied just too late to avoid hitting it. lalf a mile further on, in another curved utting, a boulder was found on the ail.
