Received Oct. 12th, 0.40 a.m. Sydney, October 11. The Arbitration Court award for shop assistants in city and suburban mresa, fixes the wages of assistants up to tile age of 23 as follows:—Males from 5s to 455, females 5s to 255. It b computed this involves an aggregate tuertase in wages of £50,000 yearly.
