TENNIS.
The annual meeting of the Taranaki Lawn Tennis Association was held on Friday, 4th instant, ut the secretary's ollice, Brougham-street. The secretary read the statement of receipts and expenditure, showing a credit balance -jf XS 2s Id. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Dr. Lc-atham; vice-presidents, Dr. Harrison (Elthuin), Messrs. W. B. Messenger (Inglewood), T. JI. Nicholson (Waverley), J Livingstone (Hawcra.,, Kev. S. Bowie (Wymi Club, Stratford), Dr. W. T. Simmons (Patea), Dr. Paget (Stratford), Messrs. J. W. Brayshaw (St. Andrew's, Stratford), S. H. Poole (Manaia); secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. Baton; auditor, Mr. W. C. Weston; I delegates—New Plymouth, E. Griffiths; Inglewood, G. 0. Waddy; lit'ham, Dr Fookes; Hawera, J. J. Weir; Stratford, .1. W. Wilson; Manaia, Dr. fioei';
Waverley, ,1. C. Nicholson. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the secretary. As the New Zealand championship will be held this year at New Plymouth, Mi-, H. Stocker was appointed assistant secretary.
