COMMONWEALTH TARIFF.

LONDON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RESOLUTIONS. Received 27th, 10.35 p.m. Loudon, September 27. A large meeting of the Australasian section of the Loudon Chamber of Commerce, aud others interested, adopted resolutions protesting against the imposition of further duties on British gooJs which, despite the linanci il support accorded Australian industries by merchants and investors, will seriously harm the manufacturing industries of the United Kingdom; declaring that the preference given British goods, although small, is thankfully received in the hope that it will shortly be increased, and that sudden levying of new duties, especially on goods bought before the new tariff became operative, will cause a considerable loss in Australia and Srita'in unless the time of levying is postponed.
