The San Francisco—Stepfeldt colt proved himself a good one as a two-year-old, but whether he has improved sufficiently to win the New Zealand Cup, Canterbury Cup and Canterbury Derby, a feat accomplished by Manton, liuroelydon, Seahorse and Noetuiform, remains to be seen. In all probability Elevation will make his first appearance as a tln-ee-year-old in the llawke's Bay Guineas. lie is reported to be going on satisfactorily in his preparation. I
