ALLEGED INCENDIARISM.

Per Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. At the Police Court to-day a young man named Ernest Edward Cuthbertson Maxey was charged with having attempted to set fire to a shop in Kaikorai Valley. The evidence showed that on the 12th instant a fire broke out in a room at the bade of a shop, a sofa and chair being in liamer, Chrthe 11th instant a fire broke out in the shop amongst some paper bags. Both fires were suppressed before much damage was done. On the occasion of the second fire accused is said to have been drunk. Accused was committed for trial.
