Tho profits from the farm cannot be calculated solely by the size of the milk or lmtter cheque received. The losses have to lie deducted. The money lost, (hat should have been 9avcd, hy cows dying from milk fever and other kindred ailments is enormous, and most farmers pay their share of this tax—some more, some less. If the farmer worked his business in a methodical and practical manner, his losses would be less. The largest losses occur to cows at calving time.
