Sir,—Some of the would-be aristoyof ■ Ne "' Plymouth were evidently so overcome by "Mother Goose" that wl« 7® • een able to kee P them " *elvefrom g lV ,ng vent to an overflow of excitement to the strain of "There was I waiting at the Church" even in of ™„, i°° mS ' T Thrtm f? h medium of your columns I would like to draw atteiuiMi to one such "public exhibition." Ou Ihuredny afternoon three persons tientod the visitors in a certan tea-room in to\\ 11 to an attempt to sing "There was I w.nting at the Church," accompanied by shrieks of J ■ .-hter. The part of the song taey foim I particularly inresting, judging by the emphasis laid upon it, was "Here's the blanky note" burely people who think they know something should know enough to keen such a display of ignorance for other places. It certainly does not favorably impress.—l am, etc., A VISITOR.
