THE PROGRAMME. The committee of the 1008 band eontest to be held here met on Saturday evening, and adopted the following programme:— TEST SELECTION.

"A" Grade—First prize £IOO, Besson Shield, 25 silver medals, and one gold for conductor. Second prize £43. Third priffi £2O and trophy. Entry £2 2s. "B'' Grade—First prize £2O and Boosey shield Second prize £lO. Third prize £5; subject to addition of trophies. Entry £1 Is.

Marching Contest (all bands to compete)— First prize £3O; second, £2O; third, £ls; fourth, £10; fifth, £5. Solos—Gold and silver medals: Baritone; Flugal horn; E Flat Bass; B Flat Bass; 8.8. Bass; B Flat; Euphonium; B Flat cornet; E Flat coret; B Flat slide trombone; (i slide, trombone; E Flat horn; trombone trio; quartette; drum competitions.
