THREATENED RAILWAY STRIKE
ENGINE-DRIVERS' UNION DECLINE XO JOIN. Received Sept, 22, 4.20 p.m. London, Sept. 21. Mr, Fox, secretary to the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen, declares that its 19,000 members, the majority of whom are enginedrivers, will not join the Amalgamated Society of Railway »Men in the event of the latter striking. He firmly believes there will be no strike.
