THE HIDES MARKET. Received Sept. 20, O.Si a.m. Melbourne, September 19. Hides were in keen competition, medium and heavies being a farthing higher. At the New Plymouth sale on Wednesday Messrs Wilson and Nolan offered an average catalogue of hides and skins. Hides have advanced in price, while calfskins have dropped considerably.

FLOUR RISING. Pel Press Association. Dujicdin, Thursday. Flour is likely to go up 10s per to! this week. This will mean another risi in the price of bread. LOCAL MARKETS.

There was again an unsatisfied demand for poultry at auction last week, and any liens of good quality sold at rates profitable! to the seller. Breeders will doubtless take- advantage of the good prices now offering. Purebred birds with high reserves are not easy to quit. Turkeys and table birds are none too plentiful. Prices last week ranged as follows:
