THE HIDES MARKET. Received Sept. 20, O.Si a.m. Melbourne, September 19. Hides were in keen competition, medium and heavies being a farthing higher. At the New Plymouth sale on Wednesday Messrs Wilson and Nolan offered an average catalogue of hides and skins. Hides have advanced in price, while calfskins have dropped considerably.

There was again an unsatisfied demand for poultry at auction last week, and any liens of good quality sold at rates profitable! to the seller.
