Beceived Sept. 19, 0.21 a.m. Melbourne, September 18. Trouble that was brewing with regard to the wages of slaughtermen engaged in the export trade has been averted for the present, both side 9 agreeing to refer the dispute to the Wages Board. At a meeting of the Federated Butchers' Employees' Union a letter was received from the Canterbury Slaughternen'a Industrial Union stating that the whole of the unions ui the Dominion were being federated, and desired to amalgamate with the Australian union.
