Per Press Association. i Dunedin, Last Night. At a meeting of the Hospital Trusteos to-day, the House Surgeon reported that a patient was admitted suffering from homicidal mania. He tried to cut his throat twice, and a broad leather band had to be placed round his throat and a constable summoned to watch him, but the patient made two atiempts to overpower tho constable, and a'fierce straggle ensued. All this took place in a ward occupied by twenty-four patients.
