SUVA MURDER TRIAL.
AN ACQUITTAL. Suva, September 17. Arthur Roy Ashtoii, 'rhnr-ed wHh the murder of a .Sew Hebrides native, has been acquitted. Accused., while superintending an estate, discovered one of his laborer* stealing r.,inf :ij)j.l< y. The laborer became impi rtkient. .Vhton struck him with a whip. The native seized the whip and belabored Ashtoii in an unmerciful fashion. Ashtoii, to save himself, drew his revolver and shot his antagonist in the leg. This infuriated the laborer. A'hton, to save his own life, shot the laborer through the heart, killii-g him outright.
