Per Press Association. Wellington, Monday. A deputation of members waited on the Premier to ask him to allow salt for agricultural purposes to be carried free oil the railways. . Sir Joseph Ward promised to consider the matter, but emphasised that salt was already carried at a low rate. He certainly could not allow it to go free, but would see if he could place it on the "q" rate.
