LORD ALDERHAM. ,-, Received 15th, 4.9 p.m. Lodon, September 1.4 The death is announced of Lord Alrfo.rham, aetat 88. Lord Alderham was raised to a barony in 1896. He was head of the firm of Anthony Gibba and Sons, London, a director of the Bank of England from 1853-1901. and Governor of the Bank from 1875-77.
