London, Scptenilier 10. In the course of an address to the Roman Catholic conference at Preston, Archbishop Bourne declared it was impossible to maintain the CathoEc schools without State aid. If these schools were extinguished, he added, socialism, anarchy and political disorders would be the natural retribution. He appealed to the Noneomformists, I who, he added, did not deserve the batej full name of persecutors.
