TROUT FISHING.

Per Press Association, Invercargill, Wednesday, the Southland Acclimatisation Society ' to-day considered the Ashing regulations : recently gazetted. As there is no special J regulation governing the size of the catch for a day's fisirag in this district, the 201b limit takes effect. The limitation is regarded in. the district with general disfavour, it was decided to ask _ the Colonial Secretary to have special regulations made limiting the catch in Southland to thirty trout for * a single angler in one day. Regarding o worm bait it was considered plain that c the special- regulations gazetted on 22nd a September,'loo4, for the Southern Ac- o climatisation District were superior to c the new regulations making that bait t legal in Southland.
