Received Sept. 10, MO p.m. London, S:'ple:nls>r 10. Reuter's correspondent at Victoria, British Columbia, reports that Saturday's rioting at Vancouver lasted till daylight on Sunday. The police were powerless, and appealed to the Japanese to confine them■efres to resistance, and not to »o on the streets.

Beceived Sept. 10, 10.5 p.m. London, September 10. The mob is being dispersed, and the Mayor, Mr. Bethune, is arranging to •uppress the Anti-Asiatic League's meetingannouneed lor Thursday. The Japanese Consul states that the Windows of fifty-six Japanese establishments in Powell-street were destroyed, sad claims will be presented to the city forthwith. He cabled to the Japanese Embassy in London particulars of the riot, and declares he regards the incident as of much more importance than the San Pramasco trouble. Mr. Bethune declares the city will lot nay any damages. ' NEGOTIATIONS WITH SIR WILFRID LALRIER. DOMINION TO .MAKE RESTITUTION. Beceived Sept. 10, 10.5 p.m. i Ottawa, SepfrSiber 10. , M. The Morning Post and the Expn-.-s. discussing the Vancouver riot, agree in contending that Japan is ready to listen to reasonable arguments based on pur.lv economic grounds, and would recognise the right of other nations to secure their labouring classes from unregulated competition.
